Julia Västrik is an engineering enabler and team builder with a background in software development, organisational change, and product-engineering alignment. She helps engineering and product teams work better together, improving delivery health, clarity, flow, and collaboration while preserving autonomy, with a human-centred mindset at the core.
Background & expertise
Julia started as a software developer working in C++, Java, web applications, and data synchronisation, before moving into engineering leadership as part of the Product Engineering Leadership Team at Scoro, where she supported the implementation of the Missions framework (Dynamic Teaming) to align product priorities and coached cross-functional teams and leaders. She has also driven organisational change and strengthened delivery health at Swedbank, holding roles including Enterprise Agile Coach, Scrum Master, Project Manager, and Implementation Manager in large, complex environments. Her experience spans both large financial institutions and fast-paced product companies, which helps her bridge stability and scale with speed and innovation.
Approach
This blend allows Julia to act as a bridge between engineering, product, and leadership, enabling senior teams to scale effectively without adding heavy process, while coaching individuals to grow in their roles. Outside of client work, she organises Agile Saturday Tallinn as a Management Board Member of Agile Estonia, speaks at international conferences, and writes on leadership, learning, and team dynamics.
